My Story

Bienvenidos! I am an advanced practicum student, educator, dog mom, and proud daughter of Mexican and Nicaraguan immigrants. I have over five years of experience working with children, families, and young adults as both a substitute teacher in the greater Los Angeles area and a psychologist-in-training. My experience includes working with clients of lower socioeconomic status; monolingual Spanish speakers; and clients with a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, traumatic experiences, and life transitions related to grief, immigration, and divorce.

As your clinician, my goal is to guide you through a journey of deep exploration, self discovery, and healing. My work with you will be rooted in a blend of psychodynamic and mindfulness practices, while guided by a person-centered approach. I will work with you to build insight into your unconscious beliefs, explore your early childhood experiences, and link these to behavioral patterns in the present. With compassion, empathy, and humility I will follow your lead and enter this therapeutic journey by your side.

Even though the idea of seeking therapy can seem very foreign, odd, and even frightening at times, it can also be a journey filled with insight, healing, laughter, joy, and so much more. If you are ready to connect with your deeper self and begin this very personal journey, it would be my pleasure to guide you through this process.
