What you might see as “symptoms” are ways that your unconscious communicates what you really need and value without words. Therapy is a space in which we can look at the story of your life and translate the language of your body so you can learn to work with, rather than against yourself.

I love working with East Coast transplants, first generation Americans (especially those becoming aware of intergenerational trauma), millennials navigating non-traditional lifestyles, women working in male-dominated fields, and creators/artists. I believe that group therapy is sometimes more vitalizing than individual therapy and I am passionate about helping people understand the ways that their family’s history may live on in their present.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. We need connection and a witness to our story to heal and process past experiences. I know that sharing your story can feel incredibly scary, but it can also provide an opportunity for you to better understand yourself and get to the root of your pain. My approach focuses on allowing you to feel in control of our sessions by deciding how and at what pace you share those different parts of yourself. My goal is to meet you at whatever stage of your healing journey that you are in.

I love working with Latinx teens and young adults, specifically those who have experienced trauma or those that are navigating difficult life transitions. When words don’t feel right, I enjoy finding creative ways to process emotions and gain insight, such as utilizing musical and artistic expression. Whether you are starting to identify some childhood wounds, beginning to recognize the role your attachment style plays in your relationships, or a parent of a teen who is struggling and needing a safe outlet to start to learn more about themselves and their emotions, I am here to support you.

My work centers on helping individuals and couples uncover unconscious patterns, navigate life’s challenges, and move toward deeper meaning and fulfillment. Using a psychodynamic approach to uncover hidden or deeper drivers for your life, we will explore more of what allows you to become your whole and enlivened self. Together, we’ll create a space where all parts of you are seen, valued, and understood.

True healing unfolds within the safety of a trusted relationship. Specializing in complex trauma, mood and personality disorders, and culturally sensitive care for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, I provide affirming support to folks from all walks of life. As a first-generation BIPOC woman with a background as a medical doctor now pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology, I am passionate about offering a holistic approach to healing that connects the mind, body, and soul.
