Hi there - I want to start by acknowledging the strength and courage it takes to seek out support. I recognize that therapy can feel intimidating and the process in finding the right fit can sometimes feel discouraging, so I feel it’s important to take a moment to honor your commitment to yourself.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as yourself because you can count on being seen, heard, and accepted for exactly who you are that day. While the heavy and uncomfortable parts of therapy are necessary, I also enjoy incorporating humor and lightheartedness as we navigate through your experiences together. I believe that as humans we are shaped by our relationships, beginning with the relationship we had with our primary caregivers, where we begin to develop our sense of self and attachment to others. We can use this information to get to the root of our pain and begin to understand ourselves, notice patterns, and make changes in our lives.

Therapy is about letting you take control of your life and helping you feel empowered. It is also a place where you can learn that emotions are safe to feel and they do not always have to overpower you; in fact, emotions can be our teachers. As a trauma-informed therapist, I believe that in order to heal, we need to feel.

My clinical training was completed at a community mental health agency where I worked with high acuity cases including young adults, adolescents, and families significantly impacted by trauma. I also co-facilitated grief and intensive outpatient substance use groups for adolescents and have over 5 years of experience working with the neurodivergent population.

Throughout my training I had the opportunity to provide therapy in Spanish, my native language, and have grown a passion for continuing to serve the Hispanic community. I appreciate the benefits of a shared experience and believe that representation in the therapy room matters.

I would be honored to be a part of your journey and I hope to hear from you soon!
