Too often I witness clients grinding to “figure it out;” keeping a score card of their traumas, abandonment fears, and depressions, trying to isolate parts of themselves to change so that they can be “better.” In the end, this only compounds internalized shame, unworthiness, and insecurity. So what if we try a different way? What if we try gentleness?

My work aims for less thinking and more feeling. Less figure-it-out and more intuitive revelation. Our sessions flow from a place of unconditional love (if you can’t access it today, I hold enough for both of us) where together we heal your wounds at the source by exploring your feelings, experiences, belief systems, and relationships with a spirit of gentle curiosity. We use mindfulness to learn the language of your intuition and we leverage the wisdom of your body for healing guidance. We talk and question and experiment to release fear, illuminate hopelessness, amplify self-care and unearth a loving, expansive, creative experience of this lifetime. The result is… letting go of results! And cultivating an unshakeable loving safety within yourself.

My work is trauma-informed and highly experiential, incorporating Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy, inner child work, expressive art, and mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral skills. I have over a decade of experience facilitating mindfulness, meditation, and energy healing, including certification as a Reiki Master Teacher as well as training in the BodyTalk method, sound healing, and aromatherapy. I’ve studied somatic healing techniques with the Hakomi Institute and the Emotional Health Institute. I have 20+ years experience working with children, families and schools and have a certificate in Trauma-Focused CBT for supporting youth in processing trauma. I hold a certificate in Social-Emotional Arts from UCLArts and Healing and have over 30 years of study and practice in visual arts, performing arts, and creative writing.

My clinical training was completed with the Antioch University Counseling Center, a community clinic that emphasizes diversity, inclusivity, and social justice. I treated a range of adult clients in addition to serving the clinic’s school-based program, where I worked at an under-resourced middle school treating students individually, teaching social-emotional learning and mindfulness skills, and running process groups for anxiety and depression.

Therapy never feels like a job to me; this work is truly an extension of my heart, my passions, and my values. Sharing in my clients’ lives is such a privilege and I’d love to hear how I can serve your visions!
